陸羽茶室 @ Central Hong Kong
This tea house started their business way back in the 30’s at the busy central district of Hong Kong island. Popular with their dim sum and morning tea.
Most of their customers are regular and majority of the tables are practically reserved every day! We were lucky to get a table for 2 on a Monday morning even though not much crowds but we can see many tables are put up with customers name printed on the reserve tag!
You can find the kind of olden days feeling in the restaurant and many waiters and waitresses are quite senior.
The dim sums here are served by the waiters on the hanging tray. They will walk around and telling you what their are carrying. Everyone will have probably only 2 to 3 portions. Guess that is why the dim sum are always hot and fresh. Har kau (Prawn Dumpling), Siew Mai are the must and we tasted something special at this restaurant is the pig liver siew mai! The Lo Mi Kai is also richly staffed with shrimps, mushroom and chicken.
Of course there are many other dishes to choose from. However, the bill does not come cheap as the average portion of dim sum will cost some HKD40!
